19 of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been won on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev claimed his maiden title for nearly 30 months with victory over Corentin Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The Russian, a ex- number one, has had a difficult period, managing just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him exiting of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor his previous coach.
Currently working with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought competitive win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first championship since the Rome competition and maiden on a hard surface from that period of 2023.
The win also means Medvedev has won twenty-one victories at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I have attended a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is particularly special," said ranked player Daniil Medvedev.
"This championship is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the maiden victory I got when my child Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had lost his past six title deciders, comprising in that event previously this season.
His retrieving play style and regular reactions on the playing surface had caused some to question if his capacity to compete at the top level was finished.
However the 29-year-old has made changes in the past month, striving to approach the net and play positively, supported by an enhanced service.
Medvedev fought back from a break down in the initial set against the challenging Moutet, winning four of the concluding five exchanges to take the lead.
Both players traded break points in the second set before the Frenchman, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, gained dominance to create a third set.
He saved 4 early break points in a competitive third set before the champion broke to fifteen to secure the win.
Suitably, Medvedev earned victory with a point at the net, with Moutet incapable to manage a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
