The visionary game developer, who helped create the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in Los Angeles, California at the age of 55.

His passing was announced by Electronic Arts, the publisher that controls Respawn Entertainment, a game studio that he helped create.

The renowned game designer lost his life when his car crashed and caught fire on a highway in Los Angeles on Sunday morning, according to.
